Legacy workshops
During 2016, the Foundation worked on a number of projects, including a legacy workshop in June. The workshop was led by Pastor Ivy Huston and featured presentations by Sandberg Mortuary, Thrivent Financial and the Foundation. Workshops will continue to be held with the next one scheduled for fall 2017.
Polar Back Packs 2016
The Polar Back Pack program was the recipient of several grants from the Foundation – at Easter and at Thanksgiving. The Foundation's grant gave money towards food gift cards for the people receiving the back packs.
A heartfelt thank you was given to Lindsey Bina, Intern Pastor, who delivered the gift cards. She was welcomed at North High and offered sincere thanks for the partnership between St. Mark's and the school. She was told “the Polar Packs are making a huge difference in the lives of their students.” Everyone she met at school offered similar words of gratitude.
The grants are available thanks to the generosity of those who contribute to the Foundation. We thank everyone who has helped us provide help to this much-needed program.

Support for seminary student
The Foundation continued its support of seminary students in 2017 with a grant for a daughter of our congregation – Jenn Luong.
Jenn's response, “Your financial support is critical, but your investment and support of my ministry is priceless.”
The Foundation feels it is important to support the future of the church by investing in the young people who are striving to keep the faith growing.
