As of September 12, 2018, the St. Mark's Foundation Board of Trustees welcomes the addition of two new trustees: Beth Jensen and Pastor Mary Froiland. Both Beth and Mary are excited to be part of the Foundation. Each bring unique talents to the Foundation board that will help spread the Good News of Jesus to the St. Mark's congregation and the surrounding community of North Saint Paul.
The Foundation is committed to keeping interested friends of the Foundation informed about ongoing activities of the Foundation. On October 13, 2018 between 9 am and 12 pm at St. Mark's Church, in cooperation with the pastoral staff of Saint Mark’s and local professionals, the Foundation will offer a “Leaving a Legacy” workshop that will provide presentations and discussions on topics including funeral planning, estate planning, health care directives and leaving a legacy for your loved ones. During the Wednesday 4/18/2018 6:00 pm evening service and the Sunday 04/22/2018 8:45 am and the 10:15 am services , Terry Kapaun will provide a brief temple talk on the progress of The Foundation and how you may walk together with The Foundation to enhance the future of St. Mark's church.
Thank you to all that attended the "Leaving A Legacy" workshop. A lot of information on a variety of difficult topics were discussed. The Palm Sunday pancake breakfast raised over $1000 plus a $500 matching contribution from the St. Mark's Foundation. The net proceeds will support the youth in their summer mission trip to Kentucky. Thank you so much for helping to make the event a big success.
On March 25, 2018 the St. Mark’s youth will be sponsoring a pancake breakfast after the 8:45 am and 10:15 am services to defray the expenses for a youth mission trip in the summer of 2018 to share their talents and Christ’s love with families in Chavies, Ky. St. Mark’s Foundation will be matching funds raised at the pancake breakfast. Please be generous.
The St. Mark’s Foundation will again be sponsoring “Foundation Week”, the week of April 15 2018, during the services when a short temple talk will provide an update to the Foundation's on going mission.
The Foundation board members will be available before and after church services to provide an opportunity for St. Mark’s congregation to ask about the works of The Foundation with St. Mark's church. After the services, there will be a display in Rees Hall where Foundation board members will be available to chat with you and answer any questions you may have about the Foundation and its mission.
