The St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church Foundation is committed to conveying the Christian message to people through excellence in worship, education, and the building of relationships.
As we enter 2026, I would like to introduce myself: My name is Barbara Michel, and I am the newly- elected president of the Foundation. I am excited and grateful to lead this group of dedicated volunteers into the next year. During 2025, the Foundation celebrated its 40th anniversary, and we were blessed with generous donations, community involvement, staff support, and guidance by the Foundation board members. More than $22,000 was awarded in grants to serve the needs of others during the past year.
Let’s continue to work together to carry God’s word forward into the future.
The St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Foundation is proud to have celebrated its 40th anniversary, sharing its mission with St. Mark’s Church congregation, the community, and people in the world. Please check out the video on this page featuring several of the people and organizations the Foundation was able to help with grants during 2025. Some of these projects are part of our church life, others reach out to our community and the world at large. The endowment program of The Foundation has been able to give more than $22,000 in 2025 for people and programs, thanks to the generous donations from both the St. Mark’s Church congregation and the larger community. You, too, can be a part of carrying this mission forward by checking the Foundation Gifts tab for information on ways to support The Foundation Grant requests are always welcome and can be submitted by going to the Foundation Grants tab. We are all invested in the future, and by working together, we can ensure God’s word goes forward for generations.
