The St. Mark's Foundation Board of Trustees approved a grant to the Polar Back Pack program of $480 for gift cards to supply the packs with grocery cards for fresh meat and produce during the Easter season. The Foundation takes the gifts it receives, invests that money and only uses the interest earned to help strengthen the ability of St. Mark's Church to pursue its mission. The Board feels the Polar Back Pack program shows the awesome stewardship and outreach of St. Mark's Church.

In honor of the Rev. Dr. Steven Nelson's retirement from the ministry and as senior pastor at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the St. Mark's Foundation gave Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN) a gift of $500 for its internship program. Pastor Nelson was dedicated to a strong seminarian intern program at St. Mark's Church. This long-reaching program has helped seminarians grow to become dynamic worship and education leaders. In addition, the program has expanded worship and educational opportunities for congregation members. The Foundation thanks Pastor Steve for his exemplary dedication to the intern program.
